first, a bit of a share.
on DEC 30, i found myself in an emergency room in Santa Monica after an auto accident involving some friends (everyone’s ok, thankfully & thank you). whilst waiting, as one may do at an ER, & flipping thru T Magazine’s Winter Travel 2012 issue, i came across an article for Kate Dougherty, who was an assistant set decorator on “Moonrise Kingdom.”
now (more sharing) i do want & need to see “Moonrise” again, as i’m not sure i appreciated as much as i should the first time i saw it.
so (even more sharing), w/ “Moonrise” on the brain, i left a small party early on NYE to come home & ring in 2013 w/ a double feature of “The Royal Tenenbaums” & “The Life Aquatic w/ Steve Zissou” on DVD…such amazing films both.

a development team that bought a Phoenix, Ariz., house designed by the architect Frank Lloyd Wright will sell the house rather than accept landmark status for it.
i find it curious when one of the property’s owners claims that, “he had no idea of its (the house’s) significance, or of the difference ‘between Frank Lloyd Wright and the Wright brothers.’”
hmmm…

now i’m not saying i don’t LOVE Craigslist, because i do.
